The committee honored for their outstanding contributions to American Society, Greek American Community and Greece: Christodoulidou Florentia, MD, Reveka Papadopoulou, Journalist, Olga Alexakos, Broker, Vassiliki Alexopoulos, Educator, Poet, Argie Agelarakis, Painter, Professor, Johanna Baldwin, Writer, Producer.
Proceeds of this event benefited the “Mitera” Infant Center, Athens, Greece & The Breast Cancer Foundation Inc., Texas, USA

In April 2006, I had the joy of moderating a vibrant symposium in New York, organized by the Hellenic Classical Charter School in Brooklyn and the Hellenic American National Council, on whose behalf I served. The day was filled with inspiring talks about the future of Greek-American charter schools, Greek language and culture in the U.S. I loved seeing leaders like Theodore Spyropoulos and George Kafkoulis ignite discussions that led to a new committee to support charter school growth.
