ECUMENICAL PATRIARCH BARTHOLOMEW’S HISTORIC VISIT TO CUBA, JANUARY 2004

In January 2004, I had the privilege of covering Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s historic five-day visit to Cuba for Antenna TV, traveling on a flight arranged by John Catsimatidis. The visit culminated in the consecration of the newly built St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Havana, a gift from President Fidel Castro, who personally presented the cathedral’s key to His All Holiness.
